Claude (Rex) Harrison Bradley Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia died March 25 after a long illness. He was 85.
He was born in Danbury on June 26, 1931, son of Claude H. and Pauline Ada (Scharfenberg) Bradley Sr.
He was employed with the Home Oil Company, Norwalk for 29 years. Previously, he was known as “Doc” a combat medic in the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association and VFW. He volunteered for the Saugatuck Hose Co. 4 in Westport,
After retiring, he moved with his wife Margaret to Roanoke.
He is survived by his daughters Claudia Bradley of Stratford, and Tammy (Vinny) Guarente of Beacon Falls, grandchildren Joe (Megan) Guarente of Englewood, Florida, and Angela Guarente (Joe Darrah) of Beacon Falls, great-granddaughter Michaela Darrah and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Burial Park, 1307 Summit Ave, Roanoke. There will be no calling hours.
