Christopher J. Lanni, 14

Christopher J. Lanni of Westport died Dec. 23 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was 14.

He was born in New Haven on June 23, 2001, the son of Peter C. Lanni and Cornelia L. Gallo of Westport. He was a freshman at Staples High School, a member of Boy Scout Troop 39 and had achieved the rank of Life Scout. He was a black belt in karate and was an avid break dancer.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Nancy and Gerard Lanni of Deer Park, N.Y., his maternal grandmother, Cornelia Gallo of Bronxville, N.Y., two sisters, Madeline and Amelia Lanni, both of Westport, several aunts and uncles and many cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather John Gallo.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East. Friends are invited to attend a funeral on Monday, Dec. 28 at 10 a.m., meeting directly at Saint Luke Church, 84 Long Lots Road, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 73 Greens Farms Road.
