It was celebration time today at Norwalk Hospital for Westporters Kate and John Procaccini, their newly born daughter Mila and Westport police, fire, and EMS personnel who helped deliver her at home on Wednesday. (See WestportNow April 27, 2016). Police Lt. Eric Woods, shift commander, said he was proud of all responding units, and how they worked together seamlessly. “This is a once in a career opportunity for our guys,” he said. “I could not be happier for them, but even more excited for the family.” John Procaccini, now a father of two, said, “I just wanted to thank you all for everything you did. This is the stuff that goes above and beyond typical duties. We are beyond grateful.” Mom and baby are healthy and happy, a police news release said.
