Connecticut Light and Power Company said power went out to almost 50 customers as a result of the storm. Many of the outages were in the Saugatuck Avenue area and extended past midnight.

CL&P said almost 500 customers were impacted briefly as circuits were shut down as repairs were made.

Police, fire, and public works crews responded to downed trees or power lines on branches on Hillspoint Road, Saugatuck Avenue, Wright Street, Prospect Road, Imperial Avenue, Sylvan Road North, Nash Lane, Brookside Drive, and others, according to dispatchers.

Hail fell on Hale’s Court, according to residents. The weather station at Westport Fire Headquarters on Post Road East measured slightly more than half an inch of rain fell during the storm.
