Bradley S. Anschutz, 93

Bradley Steele Anschutz of Westport died Jan. 23 at Norwalk Hospital. He was 93.

The husband of the late Hope (Robinson) Anschutz, he was a longtime Westport resident.

He was born June 10, 1921 in Ansonia, the son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Steele) Anschutz.

A World War II Navy veteran, he was a 1950 graduate of Yale University and worked for the Town of Westport for 16 years as a purchasing officer.

He was very active in Westport organizations, serving as a member of the Saugatuck River Power Squadron, the Y’s Men of Westport Weston, the Westport Kiwanis Club, and Saugatuck Congregational Church.

Survivors include three sons, Edward B. Anschutz II and his wife Cindy, Steven B. Anschutz and his wife Alice, Bruce R. Anschutz and his wife Linda, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by one sister, Carol Anschutz.

A memorial service will be held Thursday Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East.
