Officers arrested a Norwalk man today for third-degree larceny and issuing a bad check in early November.
According to Lt. David Farrell, Edward Artis, 55, deposited a $6,500 check into his Citibank account and then withdrew $6,000.
Two days later, the check was returned due to insufficient funds, and Artis never made restitution, Farrell said.
Artis turned himself in on a warrant, was released after posting a $7,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
