Officers arrested a Fairfield man on charges of assault, risk of injury to a minor and drug sales, as they were alerted to a domestic dispute in the rear parking lot of the Westport Police Department, police said today.
According to Lt. Eric Woods, the incident occurred about 4:15 p.m. Sunday when witnesses told police that Stephen Shulman, 31, was striking a female passenger in his vehicle.
“It was also learned that a 6-week old infant was in the vehicle as well during the assault,” Woods said.
Woods said that following Shulman’s arrest, his vehicle was searched, and marijuana and butane honey oil or DAB was found along with packaging materials, scales and other paraphernalia associated with the manufacture and sale of DAB.
Shulman was issued a $10,000 bond, which he did not post, and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court today, Woods said.
