Allen R. Coutermash, 25

Born on Sept. 16, 1989 in Stamford, he was the son of Shawn Bray of Weston and the late Ray Allen Coutermash, who died in 2006.

He spent his life living in Darien and Westport and graduated from Staples High School. He received an Associated Degree from Lincoln Technical Institute in Hamden. He was excited about his acceptance into the U. S. Navy.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his sister, Amber Coutermash of Norwalk, his grandparents, Gene E. Bray of Idaho, Irene E. Jerue of Sarasota, Fla., and Pat Coutermash of Darien; and five uncles and three aunts. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Allen Ray Coutermash in 1998.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Noroton Presbyterian Church, 2011 Post Road, Darien. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
