Aelish Flynn of Westport, originally from Dublin, Ireland, died Oct. 24 at home. She was 42.
She was the daughter of Roisin and the late Joseph Byrne. She had a successful career in global finance that took her to Ireland, Martinique, Miami and finally Connecticut.
She was brilliant, beautiful and elegant with a wickedly funny sense of humor. She was a fabulous cook, spoke fluent French, played the piano with grace and loved to swim in the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew, to whom she was married for 15 years, and three children, David, Ava and Isabelle.
Services will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Assumption, 98 Riverside Ave.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
