Angela Kane, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Management, presents Westport First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff with one of the books the United Nations gifted to the Town of Westport in gratitude for hosting jUNe Day today. The books will be available at the Westport Public Library. Did anyone notice the irony - the Oppenheimer’s estate sale was today (and tomorrow) - long time jUNe day activists, and lots of old jUNe day items there

The Oppenheimers - both mother and daughter -were active in the group responsible for jUNe day before their illnesses.  The house they built some 60 years ago will no doubt be a tear down of the day if the market ever recovers.
