UPDATE Two suspects accused of robbing the TD Bank on Westport’s Post Road East at gunpoint Wednesday were arrested within nine hours of the crime, police said.
One suspect was arrested on Greens Farms Road about 20 minutes after the robbery and the other was taken into custody early today in Bridgeport, police said.
Police early today identified the man arrested in Westport as Lancelot Andrew Supersad, 19, of 114 Roosevelt St., Bridgeport and the second suspect as Anthony Santiago, 20, of 86 Dayton Road, Bridgeport. Both were held on a variety of charges on $100,000 bond for a Norwalk court appearance later today.
The robbery occurred at about 4:55 p.m. at 1111 Post Road East when two black males wearing ski masks and displaying a black handgun entered the bank, demanded money, and fled in a vehicle southbound on Morningside Drive, police said.
