Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe said today that he is putting together a committee to oversee the lease “and the project itself” of moving the historic Kemper-Gunn House on the corner of Elm Street and Church Lane to the town-owned Baldwin parking lot.
“It should be ready within a week,” Marpe said of the committee.
Marpe’s comments came in response to concerns expressed by Chip Stephens, chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z), at Thursday night’s commission meeting.
Stephens pointed out that the town and the developer DC Kemper-Gunn LLC did not have an official signed agreement, nor was there a municipal point person.
