Westport police tonight arrested the third suspect in Wednesday’s robbery of the TD Bank on Post Road East.
The suspect, Derrick D. Gilliam, 27, of 144 Golden Hill St., Bridgeport, was taken into custody in Brooklyn, N.Y. where he had fled following the robbery, police said.
Detectives from Stratford as well as members of the New York Police Department aided Westport detectives in making the arrest at 10 p.m., police said.
Gilliam was being held at the 67th Precinct in Brooklyn charged as a fugitive from justice pending extradition to Connecticut to face charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, third-degree larceny, and third-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, police said.
