Snow Doesn’t Stop True Love

During Thursday’s snowfall, Westport’s Barnes & Noble Booksellers on Post Road East stayed open only from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and during that time sold only one Valentine’s Day card.

“But today, it’s very brisk,” said Trish Tierney, community relations manager. “There been a lot of traffic, especially with schools closed.”
In addition to Valentine’s cards, hot items include books gifts and cotton throw blankets with “I love you” embroidered in different languages.
“And, of course, there are Godiva chocolates,” Tierney said. “We’re the place to go for Godiva.
