There will be a meeting at Westport’s Center for Senior Activities on Wednesday, April 2, to provide an update on plans for a senior housing complex on Baron’s South, it was announced today.
Selectman Avi Kaner told a Board of Selectmen meeting that the 6:30 to 8 p.m. meeting will provide an opportunity for seniors and others to hear about progress on the plan and to ask questions.
The board had been scheduled to approve a memorandum of understanding between the town and and Baron’s South Senior Housing, LLC for the development of the Baron’s South property.
But the item was withdrawn from the agenda pending “a few issues to be resolved,” said Kaner. He said work on the project was “proceeding in parallel” so time is not lost while the memo is readied for approval.
