This short hair black and white cat turned up a few times at 234 Compo Road South and refused to leave. She has been handed her over to the Westport Humane Society (455 Post Road East, 203-227-4137). She’s black with a white chest, feet and lips, about one-year-old and very sweet!

This Female German Shorthair Pointer was found in Hunt Club Area of Westport on Saturday, 11/9/13. By way of update, after a week with the folks at WASA/Animal Control and no owner in sight, our family adopted this pup. She’s happily settling in.

Her owner has been found (Westport resident). She is, however, staying just a tad longer at Schulhof Animal Hospital to be microchipped. She has been known to go on walkabout before.

Jack (aka Kitty) was last seen Thursday evening 11/7 around Cross Highway and Main Street area of Westport. He is a snowshoe breed and has very distinct characteristics with bright blue eyes, mostly white with dark ears, nose and tail. He had a collar on but it might have come off. UPDATE: We received this message from Elizabeth J.: “After 10 days .... Jack is home as of late last night. Thank you for posting this on WestportNow. I received several tips that lead to us finding him. We live in such a caring community and I am very thankful!”

UPDATE: Artie was returned to home, safe and sound. Artemis “Artie” went missing Sunday, September 29th. She is 2.5 years old, domestic short hair, calico, female, has not been declawed, is spayed, and does not have great vocal range (she more squeaks than meows). She is timid and hides, but warms up fast to people. She has no collar. She was lost on West Parish Road in the Greens Farms neighborhood of Westport.

UPDATE: Coco was found by a 12-year-old boy between Silwen Lane and Strawberry Hill Avenue in Norwalk. He used cheese to get her attention. Coco is a 5-year-old Schnauzer/Poodle mix (Grey/Black) who went missing Thursday, July 25 around 9 a.m. from the area of Hills Lane in Westport bordering Norwalk. She’s visiting from California and is wearing a purple collar with orange flowers. Her tag has a California number which is not in service. She is friendly and may come to you if called.

We are very happy to report that Cocoa was found at 2 Catamount in Westport. She was found the morning of July 6th. The animal control officer of the Police Dept returned her home. Cocoa was lost the evening of July 3rd near Bayberry Ridge Road, Westport, CT.

Tom Cat has gone missing from his home in Wedgewood Road in the Staples High School area of Westport and his family is desperate to find him. He is a three year old male domestic short hair, orange and white in color, with tiger markings and a ring striped tail. He has no collar, but he is microchipped. Cleveland was lost in the Staples High School area on 3/17/12 and found at a home near Staples today, 4/4/12. It seems he had been living under a deck and enjoying tuna every day. UPDATE: Chester was found dead in the road near his home by neighbors from across the street who did not bother to try to find his owners and let them know. Chester was a 3-4 year old neutered male orange tabby cat. Chester was friendly and got along with everyone, including his 60-pound dog buddy Benny. (CLICK TO ENLARGE)
