Police Quickly Locate Dementia Patient
An 80-year-old male with dementia reported missing today from the Westport Center for Senior Activities was found moments later a mile away on Post Road East.
Moments after police broadcast a description of the man at about 12:45 p.m., an officer in a patrol car on Post Road East at Rayfield Road, about a mile away, said he had the man in sight.
Police quickly reunited the man with his wife, according to reports from the scene.
It was not known how long the man was missing before his disappearance was reported to police.
