Boomer Wants A Family

Boomer
Boomer. Westport Animal Control

Boomer is a 2-year-old beagle mix at Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, 203-341-5076).  He’s a sweet little fellow that is rebounding nicely after being abandoned in a parking lot in Westport.  He is affectionate and is enjoying all the attention he is receiving from staff and volunteers.  While you can’t see it in the photo, Boomer has a condition called micro-ophthalmia of his left eye diagnosed at his recent trip to Schulhof Animal Hospital in Westport.  He may or may not have any eye tissue on his left side but it will be “cleaned out” and surgically sealed at the time of his neutering surgery which will be funded by Westport Animal Shelter Advocates (WASA).  Boomer does appear to get along well with other dogs.  Clearly this young fellow hasn’t had the best start in life but he is ready for a new, loving and forever home - and we’re ready to help him find it!

Milo and Molly Need A Home

Milo & Molly
Milo and Molly are two very adorable 2-year-old Chihuahua mixes at Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, (203-341-5076).  While they are very bonded with each other (and need to be adopted together) they bond very nicely - and quickly - with those that show them attention.  They are very affectionate and lovable.  Both walk nicely on their leashes and are housebroken.  We hope they find their forever home - one filled with comfy pillows and beds for lounging - very soon.  Both are spayed/neutered and up to date on their vet care.  Please call to schedule a time to meet them.

Jack Needs A New Home

Jack
Jack. Westport Animal Control

Jack will hijack your heart once you meet him.  He is a handsome bully breed mix (mostly Staffordshire) of approximately 5 years of age at Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, 203-341-5076).  Jack is very well trained (knows sit, down, paw, come, stay) and very housebroken.  Other dogs may bark to get your attention but Jack breaks your heart with his sad cries when you pass his kennel.  He and Sparkie, another friend at Westport Animal Control, are great walking partners and smile widely when they are doing their daily parallel walking.  We adore this guy and know you will too.  Please call soon to meet him.  For an adoption application, please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).  Jack is neutered, up to date on his vet care and microchipped

Funfetti is Looking for a Home

Funfetti
Funfetti. Connecticut Humane Society

Hi, I’m Funfetti! I’m a calm, quiet girl who enjoys taking walks outside. Most of the time you’ll find my nose to the ground. I can’t help it though, there’s always something good to smell! I’m pretty laid back and would be just as happy to go for a hike as I would be to curl up on the couch and watch movies with you. Oh, and I love a good back scratch, too! I have not had much experience with kids, but I am willing to consider a home with children who can be gentle and respectful of pets. If you would like to meet me, please familiarize yourself with Connecticut Humane Society adoption requirements and come visit me at the Westport Branch of the Connecticut Humane Society!

Prince Michael Is An Indoor Cat

Prince Michael
Prince Michael. Connecticut Humane Society

Meet Prince Michael! This young man is possibly one of the most affectionate and loving cats you’ll ever meet! He absolutely enjoys being petted and will not only tell you he wants you to pet him, but will head butt your hands and legs so that you will cater to him. His experience with children is unknown but it is possible that he would enjoy the company of children who will shower him with tons of love and play time. Prince Michael is FIV positive and MUST—for his safety and the safety of other cats—remain an indoor cat. He can ONLY live with cats who are also FIV positive and would prefer a home without dogs. Lastly, Prince Michael is litter box trained. If you would like to meet this fearless and extremely friendly young man, please come down to the Westport Branch of the Connecticut Humane Society to do so!

Lexus Needs Another Home

Lexus
Lexus. Save Our Strays Inc.
Lexus is a sweet, 2 year old, male tabby cat who seems to be pretty mellow. He has beautiful bright yellow eyes and perfect tabby markings. Lexus is neutered and up to date on all shots. He really deserves a loving home so please come in to meet him!

UPDATE: Lexus recently went to a foster home. Unfortunately the family was hoping that one of the family members who was allergic to cats was now better and they were not so Lexus had to come back to the shelter, they said this. “...I want to make sure you all know is that Lexus (or “Lex” or “Lexi” as the family has already taken to calling him) is an amazing cat. ...He is brave, curious, affectionate - we are calling him the quintessential cat. After a couple of hours of chilling out on his own, getting accustomed to the noises and quirks of our household, he ventured out and about to check out the family & the environment. He started coming up to us, looking to curl up on lap or otherwise nearby one of us, sought after petting, etc. He started chatting with us by late last night as well, meowing away (not too much at all, just occasionally enough to let you know he’s nearby). He loves exploring, and had a great time finding closets and bookcases, among other little nooks and crannies. He did wonderfully with the kids - allowing petting, not getting scared by some classic loud little boy banging (curious & cautious, but not scared), and when he had enough, he simply left - no aggression in the slightest. He took to the litter box without a qualm, communicated with us when he was hungry - he really is the perfect cat. I hope a family without the allergies we have in this household shows up looking for a perfect cat - and finds Lex.”
