UPDATE Metro-North said full Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Line service has been restored into and out of Grand Central Terminal and trains are running on or close to schedule.
The railroad suspended service into and out of Grand Central Terminal for hours earlier in the day because of an explosion involving two buildings at 116th Street and Park avenue adjacent to Metro-North’s elevated tracks.
During the suspension, service was terminated for New Haven Line customers at Woodlawn in the Bronx.
Shortly before 5 p.m., service was resumed into and out of Grand Central Terminal with delays up to 20 minutes, the railroad said.
