A multi-vehicle crash and rollover in the northbound lanes of I-95 tonight just north of the bridge over the Saugatuck River sent four persons to the hospital, fire officials said.
The left and center lanes of the highway were shut down by the accident, which occurred about 8:15 p.m.
One car rolled over on its roof, trapping the occupants briefly, but they were out of the vehicle by the time firefighters arrived, according to reports from the scene.
The crash caused a lengthy backup in the northbound lanes.
