Owner Michael Cao and Pauline Lee, manager of the restaurant at 33 Jesup Road, presented a check to Westonite Shirley Freifeld in support of BCEAF. The group was founded in 2006 by Freifeld and the late Phyllis Steinberger who died of breast cancer in September. According to Freifeld, BCEAF has provided funding for more than 300 females and one male to cover out-of-pocket expenses related to chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer. In addition to Connecticut, BCEAF has now expanded to four other eastern states. Matsu Sushi’s check to the BCEAF represents a portion of its revenues for the month of October, Breast Cancer awareness month. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
