Y Back on Grid, Reopens Child Care on Monday
The Westport Weston Family Y announced today that will reopen its Child Care Center on Monday following a six-week closure due to flood damage caused by Storm Sandy. It also said after a delayed opening until noon today, it was able to switch its power supply from temporary external generators to the municipal grid. Contractors have been working overtime to complete the necessary repairs to the flooded classrooms, located in the basement level of the Bedford Building. The Y’s infant and toddler room, shown above today with teacher Vicki Blumm, reopened on Monday. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo
