Winter Farmers Market Switches to Saturdays
The Winter Westport Farmers Market, responding to what it said was input from its customers, this season will switch from Thursdays to Saturdays beginning Dec. 8 at Gilbertie’s Herb Garden on Sylvan Lane, organizers announced today.

“We’ve listened to you and we value your opinion and this is why the Westport Farmers Market will now be held on Saturday mornings,” said Lori Cochran-Dougall, director.
The market will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include vendors Arogya, Beltane Farm, Boxcar Cantina, Doc’s Organic Maple Syrup, Du Soleil Fine Foods, Flour City Pasta, Fort Hill Farm, Oxhollow Farm, Pastabilities, Hoardable Hot Sauce, Huckleberry Artisan Pastries, Kaia Café, The Local Catch, Nothin’ But Granola, Norwegian Wood Bakery, Raus Coffee, Riverbank Farm, Sankow’s Beaver Brook Farm, Skinny Pines, Sono Baking Company, Sticky Nutz, Sweet Sage Bakery, Two Guys From Woodbridge, Winding Drive Jams. and Woodland Farm.
“Our mission is to create and maintain a regional hub where real farmers connect with consumers over real food,” Cochran-Dougall said.
“In facilitating these interactions, the Westport Farmers’ Market strives to help food producers and food consumers forge lasting relationships that celebrate education, sustainability, healthy living, and just plain delicious food.”
