Westport’s Charlie Colasurdo (c) and teammates Novad Jayawardhane (l) and Dalton DiCamillo of Wilton today won the 14th Annual Paleo-Knowledge Bowl at the Yale Peabody Museum. The Paleo-Knowledge Bowl is an oral competition in which 60 students in grades 4-6 from around Connecticut and beyond work in teams to answer some very difficult questions about paleontology. The team, which was coached by Darrell Fennell and supported by the Wilton Library, won from among 20 Connecticut teams. Winners were presented with family memberships to the Yale Peabody Museum, a trophy for the Wilton Library, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Peabody’s vertebrate paleontology collections, and a special prize of rare fossils for each team member.
