Wilton Road Remains Closed

Westport’s Wilton Road remained closed late today between Post Road West and Kings Highway North as a result of a truck backing over the base of a fire hydrant early this morning.  According to a worker on site from the Aquarion Water Company, the crew isolated and repaired one water main break and was searching for additional breaks. He said he could not predict how long it will take to identify and repair the remaining breaks. Both Aquarion and Department of Transportation workers were on site as it is a state roadway.
