WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 150 Imperial Ave.
![]()
An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 150 Imperial Ave. is in process. Built in 1951, the 1 1/2-story cape has 1,472 square feet and is situated on a .31-acre property. Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission. Terry Hanley, 53, who said he was born and raised in the house where his parents resided since 1955, recalled the entire area was supposed to be turned into a cemetery but was later developed by Westport’s Kowalsky Brothers for homes.
