Football University (www.footballuniversity.org) is an invitation-only, one-of-a-kind football training experience for the nation’s most elite youth and high school players, training football athletes grades 7 - 12 nationally through its camps, and sponsorship of the U.S. Army High School All-American Bowl, Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl, and Youth National Championship Tournament.
The Connecticut team, led by Head Coach Ron Marsilio, also from the Westport PAL Football program, won its Round 1 game in Greenwich on Saturday, beating New York 35-6, and won its second round game on Sunday, beating Long Island 28-0. Colosimo is the starting quarterback, Fitton a starting tight end, and Roehm a starting tackle.
The team will head to Columbus, Ohio this weekend to face a powerful Massachusetts team on Saturday, and either the Maryland or Chicago team on Sunday. A win in both games earns them the right to play in the National Championship game in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 4.
