State Flu Deaths Now at 17
Connecticut has recorded a total of 17 flu deaths as a result of the latest outbreak, state heath officials said today.
The state Department of Public Health reported that 11 more people died from the flu last week, including two between the ages of 54 and 65.
All other flu deaths in the state this season have been of people over 65.
In Connecticut, as of Jan. 19, there have been 3,248 laboratory-confirmed cases of flu, the department said.
