Richard V. Kilbride, 83
Richard “Dick” Vincent Kilbride of Wilton, former Town of Westport purchasing officer, died Nov. 26 at Danbury Hospital. He was 83.
Born Nov. 11, 1929 in Norwalk, he was the son of late Sidney and Anna (Dunn) Kilbride. He graduated from Norwalk High School and the University of Connecticut (Storrs) with an MBA.
Throughout his life he had been employed at Perkin Elmer, Electrolux, and in 2010 retired as purchasing officer for the Town of Westport.
He was a loving husband and uncle who cherished time with his family, his family said.
He and his wife, Marian Bogdany Kilbride, enjoyed trout fishing while vacationing in New England.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law Zoltan Szabo predeceased him.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include sister-in-law Zita B. Szabo of Fairfield, nephew Zoltan Szabo and wife Kimberly Szabo of Trumbull; great nieces, Kristine and Alexandra. His niece Zita Ruf and husband Martin Ruf of Trinity, Fla., great nephew Timothy and great niece Taylor.
Calling hours will be on Friday, Nov. 30 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m at Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St., Georgetown (Redding).
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 30 Church St., Georgetown (Redding), (across from Bouton Funeral Home). Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk. Friends are invited to sign the online guest book at http://www.boutonfuneralhome.com.
