Many Christmas Eve Early Closings
![]()
Many Westport businesses wind down toward an early close on Christmas Eve including Cocoa Michelle at 54 Railroad Place, across from the Metro-North Westport station. “We’re playing it by ear,” said owner Michelle Weber. “Last Christmas Eve we closed around 2:30 or 3 p.m. when we ran out of chocolates—mainly last minute gifts.” She said she has mostly male customers on this day, either last minute gifts “or the wives send them out to pick up chocolates for holiday guests.” She said that most of the chocolates are boxed in advance “so no one needs to wait since many are in a hurry today.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
