Learning How to Save Pets

Westport firefighters today got a refresher course on how to use pet oxygen masks and do CPR on a dog and a cat. Veterinarians Joan Poster (l) and Deborah Bayazit of Westport’s Poster Animal Hospital conducted the class with the help of a canine friend. In 2008, The Canine Fence Company of Wilton donated pet oxygen masks for all Westport Fire Department emergency response vehicles as part of its mission to keep pets safe.
