Ingrid M. Levin, 72
Ingrid M. Levin of Westport, wife of the late Eugene S. Levin, died Feb. 13 at Norwalk Hospital. She was 72.
Born May 13, 1940 in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Alfons and Anita Kanz.
She emigrated with her family to the United States in the early 1950s and grew up in Port Jefferson, N.Y. After marrying Eugene, they moved to Westport where she resided for 40 years.
She inspired many through her perseverance through many hardships in life. her family said.
She is survived by her step-daughters Deborah Schulenburg and her husband Richard of Illinois and Jennifer Eichhorn and her husband Bryan of Maryland and by her step-son Douglas Levin of Maryland. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Aaron, Dana, Andy, Leslie, William and Andrew and by her two great grandchildren Mason and Moll.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Ave. Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to either the Rheumatoid Arthritis Research Foundation (http://www.ra.com) or to the National Humane Education Society (http://www.nhes.org).
