Going Down: 29 Old Mill Road
![]()
The house at Westport’s 29 Old Mill Road in the Compo Mill section was demolished today. Built in 1910, the two-story conventional had 896 square feet, was situated on a .04-acre property and changed ownership last month for $500,000. The owner of the house, Wally Meyer, said it was a victim of Storm Sandy which made it uninhabitable. Watching the house being demolished today, Meyer said, “I’m sad but i don’t want to go through another hurricane again—and it will happen again.” It was the WestportNow Teardown of the Day on Dec. 26, 2012.
