Getting a Lift

A project is underway at 340 Compo Road South, one of Westport’s flood-prone areas, to raise the stucco structure 4 feet in accordance with FEMA guidelines. A new foundation will be poured under the two-story colonial house, which was built in 1920 and has 2,011 square feet. Wolfe House and Building Movers of Bernville, Pa., which specializes in moving masonry and historic structures, is in charge of the project. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
