Competing in Heida Hermanns Voice Competition

Two of the semifinalist competitors in the 41st annual Heida Hermanns International Voice Competition met today at Westport Town Hall where the event is taking place. They are JeanMarie Garofolo (l) of Poughquag, N.Y. and Kathryn Leemhuis of Columbus, Ohio. On Sunday, the finalists will compete for cash prizes from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Each will perform a program selected by the judges to demonstrate musical virtuosity and skill.
