Comings & Goings: Steven Alan Opens Friday on PRE

Workers today put finishing touches on Steven Alan, an upscale contemporary apparel store for men and women, which opens Friday at 100 Post Road East, a new retail building next to the old Westport Town Hall. Scott Sanford, East Coast district manager, said the 1,800-square foot store is the company’s second location in Connecticut, having opened in Greenwich in December. Founded by Steven Alan in 1994, the first store opened in Manhattan “We’re new to the Connecticut market,” he said. “We currently have six location in California and eight in New York.”  He said each store has a unique layout and product assortment. “We have a neighborhood feel which is true to our core identity,” Sanford said.
