Comings & Goings: Sherpa Fitness Relocates

Sherpa Fitness, located at 292 Post Road East, across from Playhouse Square, since 2007 has relocated to the lower level of 1555 Post Road East. Owner Jean-Paul Desrosiers, a resident of Weston who was raised in Westport, Mass., said the new 3,000-square foot facility was formerly occupied by the Kelly & Co. gym which vacated in September. Desrosiers said he and a former partner were the original owners of Westport’s Target Training, located at 772 Post Road East, which they started in 2005. A former semi-pro cyclist who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1993 to 1999, Desrosier said the theme of Sherpa Fitness is “to help their clients reach their physical and mental goals just as sherpas help those to climb Mt.
