Comings & Goings: Moja to Wilton Road
![]()
A new restaurant, Moja, featuring Asian and South American cuisine, is making progress toward its planned opening around mid-October at Westport’s 12 Wilton Road, according to owner Tom Linell (c) of Weston. The restaurant’s general manager, Marc Katzenberg (l) was prior owner of the Katzenberg Kafe, 22 Main St., which he operated for five years until 2007 when he sold it. (it eventually closed around New Year’s Day in 2009.) Moja’s chef, Danbury resident Rick Demers (r), a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., said the restaurant will have a full service bar in addition to indoor seating for 50 with seating for an additional 30 outside. Linell said the 1,200 square feet restaurant will “serve healthy food, it will be fun and uniquely different.” He said he chose the Westport location because “we want to be part of the development of the west side of the river.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
