Mark Mathias of Juniper Road said his family awoke to find this tree down in his backyard today. “We heard a few cracks, but nothing that sounded like it hit our home,” he said. “This morning, our 8-year-old son woke up and noted with enthusiasm ‘Mom, Dad, look at our backyard!.  Indeed, one of the noises was a fairly large tree (about 16-inch diameter trunk) that fell last night. Luckily, it fell into our property, covered a bit of our playset, but didn’t apparently damage anything but itself.”  (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Mark Mathias for WestportNow.com
