Westport artist Nina Bentley shows an example of a mixed media work tonight at the Westport Arts Center where she hosted a workshop designed to activate the mind and allow participants to use assemblage as a medium to express their thoughts and creativity. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in Great Neck, N.Y., Bentley attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she studied fine art and graduated in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in history. She has exhibited extensively in Europe and the United States, and is a sports enthusiast, enjoying tennis and rowing on the Saugatuck River.
