Westport Woman, 71, Held on Prostitution Charge
Sygun Liebhart: bond set at $500. Glastonbury Police photo
UPDATE A 71-year-old woman identified by police as from Westport who allegedly advertised her escort services on a classified ads website has been arrested on prostitution charges by Glastonbury police.
Sygun Liebhart, a resident of Easton Road not far from Coleytown Elementary School, was arrested in a hotel room at the Homewood Suites in Glastonbury on Friday, police said. Reached at her home, Liebhart declined comment.
Liebhart allegedly placed an ad in the “escort section” of the website Backpage.com. She called herself “Lola,” police said. In a similar ad placed on eros-hartford.com, she identified herself as “Katherine,” said she was 64, from Fairfield County, and added: “‘My background is French and German mix with soft beautiful skin, perfectly groomed from head to toe.”
Police arrested Liebhart after she made a deal to perform sexual acts at the hotel, police said. She is charged with prostitution.
Members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force made the arrest, police said.
Officers took Liebhart into custody after the location of her hotel room was specified and a deal for sexual acts was arranged, police said.
Bond was set at $500.
It was the second incident this month involving a Westport senior and prostitution.
Earlier this month, a naked 76-year-old Westport man was found inside a Bridgeport spa during a police raid of the premises that authorities said was being used for prostitution. (See WestportNow Jan. 4, 2013)

WN, you may want to adjust your figures.
Whew! I feel so much safer now.
Sandi, do you know Sygun?
Anyone that knows her would never fear her. Fear stands for forgetting earplugs at range…or something like that. I cant live that way without going deaf.
If you were to spend some time with her, you would surely know that she would never hurt anyone - not without a little extra anyway.
The problem is that people dont get to know anyone anymore. Do you know her?
I think Sandy was making a joke, Rick…. like the police have bigger fish to fry….
