Westport Man Pleads Not Guilty in Child Abuse Case

A 67-year-old Westport man and Norwalk high school teacher arrested in December on child sex abuse charges today pleaded innocent in Stamford Superior Court
Victor A. Corso was arrested Dec. 31 on third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor resulting from an incident that allegedly occurred while he was babysitting a 4-year-old boy. The case was continued until Feb. 20. He is free on $25,000 bond.
Corso was arrested by detectives at his Hillandale Road home where the alleged abuse occurred, police said. (See WestportNow Jan. 2, 2013)
Corso is an eighth grade chemistry teacher at Brien McMahon High School and the school website said he has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering. The Norwalk Schools said he has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
