Staples Upset 30-28 by NFA in Football Semifinal

Staples was upset by Norwich Free Academy 30-28 today in their Class LL semifinal game at West Haven, ending their quest for a state championship.

It was the Wrecker’s first loss of the season.

The FCIAC champs finish at 10-1.

No. 1 Staples and No. 5 Norwich Free Academy were tied 21-21 at the half.
