One Year Ago

It was one year ago tonight that fire broke out in Westport’s Saugatuck Congregational Church. Firefighters from Westport and surrounding communities fought for hours to save the steeple and sanctuary. The Rev. Alison Buttrick-Patton said today she expects construction to begin in the spring and if all goes well the church will reopen the building in the fall of 2014.
