Westport Under-11 Boys Triumph in Soccer Division Final

Westport’s Under-11 Boys Blue soccer team today clinched its division title with a 1-0 victory over rival Old Greenwich at Norwalk’s West Rocks Middle School. The Westport team won Connecticut southwest district’s A division honors after having beaten Fairfield’s FUSA Strikers 2-0 in the semi-finals on Saturday. The 13-strong Westport squad is coached by Paul Melitsanopoulos. The spring season kicks off with the WIN tournament on March 16 and 17 at Staples High School, organized by the Westport Soccer Association. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Siobhan Crise for WestportNow.com
