Soccer Team Members Honored for Off-Field Excellence

The Westport Sunrise Rotary Club today honored the Staples Boys Soccer team members for their unselfish service to a teammate and his family in cleaning up after Storm Sandy. The members aided the Hood family on Soundview Drive after learning of the need and that Austin Hood, 20, brother of junior varsity captain son, Sebo, had died suddenly three days before the storm in New Orleans where he was a student at Loyola University.  Charlie Leonard (l), a friend and longtime teammate of Sebo, rallied his teammates to join in the clean up.
