Electric Vehicle Demo Set for Saturday
![]()
An electric car demonstration day open to the public will be held Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Metro-North Westport train station (eastbound side). The event is a joint effort by the Town of Westport and the Westport Electric Car Club. Electric car dealers will display and demonstrate electric vehicles, providing test drives for those interested. Plans call for solar panels installed on the eastbound station house roof to power 20 electric vehicle charging stations in front on the station house. Parking permit holders with electric vehicles will be able to access the prime parking spaces when the new Westport Solar Transportation Hub opens in December. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed graphic
