The League of Women Voters of Westport today presented a $2,000 scholarship to Staples High School senior Alyssa Ruggiero through the Staples Tuition Grants program. The presentation was made by past League president Pippa Bell Adler at the League’s annual meeting at Christ and Holy Trinity Church. Ruggiero will attend Hofstra University in the fall where, as an accomplished dancer, she plans to major in dance and business in the hopes of achieving her dream job—to work in the finance area of a major dance company.
