The National Weather Service has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Westport and area until 1:45 p.m. today.
It said at 11:39 a.m. Doppler radar indicated up to 1 inch of rain has fallen across Fairfield and New Haven counties.
With an additional one-half inch or so of rain expected over the next hour or so minor flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas is likely.
In addition, the smaller rivers and streams may rise to near bankfull.
