UPDATE Metro-North said westbound service to Green’s Farms, Westport and East Norwalk on the New Haven Line has resumed.
At 10:25 p.m. it said trains were on or close to schedule after an hour earlier saying service resumed but with delays of 5 to 10 minutes due to wire damage at Green’s Farms.
For about three hours, the wire damage caused westbound trains not stop at Green’s Farms, Westport and East Norwalk.
Metro-North advised customers wishing to travel westbound toward Grand Central Terminal to board eastbound trains to Southport for westbound service.
